Governing and managing the Action Plan (2025-2030)
In December 2024, the Government launched the second Te Aorerekura Action Plan. This continues the implementation of the 25-year strategy, with an Action Plan that will guide the work of government agencies through to 2030.
Implementation of the Action Plan is governed by the Executive Board for the Elimination of Family Violence and Sexual Violence (the IEB), an Action Plan Governance Group comprised of Deputy Chief Executives, and Priority Steering Groups. You can see the governance structure below.
The Action Plan Governance Group includes Deputy Chief Executives from across government:
· Emma Powell (Chief Executive, Te Puna Aonui)
· Cam Sherley (Director, System Stewardship, Te Puna Aonui)
· Mike Johnson (Assistant Commissioner, NZ Police)
· Marama Edwards (Deputy Chief Executive, MSD)
· Darrin Haimona (Deputy Chief Executive Oranga Tamariki)
· Carl Crafar (Deputy Chief Executive, Justice)
· Juanita Ryan (Deputy Chief Executive, Corrections)
· Aphra Green (Deputy Chief Executive, Social Investment Agency).
The work to deliver each of the actions is overseen by a Steering Group.
